Chris was off work and the boys out of school today for MLK day. We did not do much but hang out at home. Sylvie and I did make a Target run for diapers.
Sylvie got a package today. Her Nina did not want her feet to get cold so she got some pretty socks. Sylvie says Thank You!

We got 3 inches of snow on Sunday night. It was exciting and beautiful. We are now on snow day #4 and the excitement has worn off and most to the snow is gone.

Sylvie and I have not been back out in the snow. It got cold. The high was in the 20s. We spent one morning coloring. This can hold her attention longer than most of her toys. She loves it. I thought we would each color our own picture but she wanted to help with mine :o)
This is where Dalton has spent a good part of his snow vacation. So cute :o)
It is almost 4pm and I have not a clue what will be for dinner. However, pumpkin muffins are in the oven. Yum. Supposed that could be dinner? Probably not.
Sleeping late, jammies, no school, no dentist appointments....it is a SNOW DAY in Tennessee. The boys will not get out of their pjs and brave the cold. (I do not get that?) However, Sylvie and I went out and played in it and she loved it!
I could not believe that she kept her hat, hood and gloves on the entire time!
It is cold and does not look like the snow is going anywhere so I thinking the boys will not have school again tomorrow.

Back to school, homework, bedtimes....it feels good. There are several chances for some winter weather in the forecast so maybe the boys will be lucky enough to have another snow day here or there. But for now it is back to routine.
Christmas break has come to an end. A large part of me is sad and will be lonely tomorrow without my boys home but then the other part of me will be glad to be able to get more done with my days, hopefully! I have all kinds of purge, clean and organize projects in my head. I cleaned the laundry room today and had visions of painting, colorful baskets and new shelves :o) I also want to work on the boys room soon. I have never really decorated it after they changed rooms.
Last night was our last night to stay up late and the boys wanted to watch Despicable Me. So we made it a movie night with snacks and lots of blankets on the couch.
Little miss Sylvie will miss her brothers tomorrow but I know it will be good for her to get back to her schedule. Sylvie slept until 9:30 this morning, she has never slept that late. Today when she woke up from her nap she needed a snack and a little Yo Gabba Gabba to get going again.
The house is quite and all the kiddos are in their beds. Chris is on his computer, I am on mine and the Orange Bowl is on tv. Go Hokies...it does not look too good right now. I might have to go ahead and watch The Bachelor that started tonight!
We had a late night of ringing in the new year at Sherri's. It was a fun night of food and games. Chris brought Sylvie home early so she could go to bed. Dalton had to fill in for my guy to kiss at midnight. New Years Day was a PJ day. We took down the last of the Christmas decorations, watched football and took it easy.
Sylvie had fun playing with the Shrek ears that Nannie gave her. Too funny!
I am going to tether the kitchen chairs to the table. Sylvie is into everything! I was on the phone the other day and came around the corner and she was on top of the counter, just standing there very proud of herself. I find chairs in the living room, down the hall, everywhere. She keeps me busy for sure!
Santa brought Dalton some wikki stix. If you look you will notice them stuck to the window on the back door. Lovely. I let them stay for a couple of days but then they had to go.
I have not had much time to blog. The boys are still out of school until the 4th.

We are having nice Christmas here. We started at Sherri's last night for Christmas Eve. Her Christmas decorations are gorgeous! It was a wonderful evening full of food and family, and it even started to snow!

Then Christmas morning we woke up to a white Christmas. It snowed on and off all day and was beautiful.

Sylvie woke up first and I let her squeal and play with the Fisher Price corn popper that Santa had left. Then Chris and I turned Christmas music up loud and still no boys. So I finally had to go give them a nudge or two.
One of the first things that the boys opened was their DSi XLs. We had them sit back to back and not say what it was until they had both opened it.

Sylvie did not get into opening gifts at all. She just wanted to play with what was already open. Oh and the boxes.

Dalton was asleep in my bed and Peyton was upstairs watching tv so Sylvie and I decided to get wrapping! She was quite the little helper.

Peyton is feeling better today. He was fever free most of the day but then around dinner time he was asking for some motrin. He temperature was back up a little, 100.1. I hope we are all healthy for the big day!
